Junior Tennis

Exposing more juniors to tennis is a priority for the Zephyr Cove Tennis Club Foundation. Our free clinic and summer camps allow juniors to learn the sport in a fun environment, hopefully so they will continue to play the rest of their lives.

Juniors’ Free Tennis Clinic

Join us for our annual free tennis clinic for juniors on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11am-1pm. Youngsters age 4-12 will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tennis for free from a professional at Zephyr Cove Tennis Club. Dave Nostrant and Bob Beut, USPTA certified instructors, will lead the juniors with the assistance of players from the club. The clinic is open to students throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin as well as the Carson Valley.

A limited number of rackets will be available for those who need one. Come dressed to play – which means athletic wear and non-marking shoes. Be sure to bring water and wear sunscreen. Arrive 15 minutes before the start time.

***Registration is required***          ***Limited to 48 juniors***

~Registrations will be open in April~

Juniors’ Tennis Camps

Zephyr Cove Tennis Club, through a series of summer and fall camps, hopes to instill a love of tennis for juniors from age 4 – 17 so they will be playing years from now. The camps will be led by the club’s head pro, Dave Nostranta USPTA Elite Pro, who has decades of experience teaching all ages and abilities. The growth of tennis, fun exercise, competition and a sport that will be part of your family for a lifetime is our goal.

“These camps will be about establishing the basics and showing how fun tennis is. Participants of all ages will get true fundamentals that last a lifetime and will allow the player to continue to improve and develop their own style of play.”
