2017 Donations for Classic
The Zephyr Cove Tennis Club Foundation (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) is keeping youngsters and adults active through a variety of programs on the six courts at Zephyr Cove Park. While Douglas County owns the courts, the Foundation maintains them and provides tennis programs for the public.
Our major fundraiser is the annual Tahoe Tennis Classic Tournament. This year’s Classic will be held July 27-31, 2017, and we expect to draw more than 200 players and spectators from throughout the United States.
At the Saturday night dinner during the Classic, we have a raffle and silent auction to raise money needed for our programs and facility upgrades. Proceeds from last year’s tournament have allowed us to expand the juniors program, which includes some free instruction for local youth, and to completely resurface the courts.
With the assistance of people and businesses contributing items for the Classic raffle/silent auction or donating cash, the Foundation can continue to provide recreational and competitive tennis. We recognize support year-round on our website (see http://www.zctennis.com/2016-fundraiser-supporters/) and especially during the tournament.
